.01 In General . (1) Limitations on Depreciation Deduc- tions for Certain Automobiles . The limitations on depreciation deductions for passenger automobiles placed in service by the taxpayer for the first time during calendar year 2008 are found in Tables 1 through 4 in section 4.02(2) of this revenue procedure. In accordance with the procedures provided in Notice 2008–28, A enters the amount of his social security benefits on line 14a of Form 1040A, but does not enter the amount of his interest income or dividend income on Form 1040A. A seeks to file his return electronically. In order to effectuate the electronic filing of A ’s return, A may include $1.00 in the adjusted gross income reported on his electronically filed return.
