Expansion of categories of income. Per Public Law 115–97, beginning after December 31, 2018, line 6a may include two new categories of income. In addition, the instruction clarifies that filers must include the credit for taxes on section 901(j) category income, if applicable, on line 6a. For more information see instructions for line 6a.
