When the REQUEST TYPE "S" in the Request Data, only one reference to a retention register module will be extracted to this list. The message "A MICROFILM REQUEST HAS BEEN GENERATED" will be displayed only for this case to show the operator that there is no need to input an ESTAB "M" . It has been done automatically for specific requests only. There is no need to request microfilm, unless the entity module does not exist on the active master file. However, if the removal cycle indicates that this module was removed to the Retention Register during the current year, and if your Service Center has not received the microfilm, MFTRA Request Type "Z" should be used.

When the REQUEST TYPE= "C" a complete list of modules is returned. Operator must input one or more microfilm requests via CC ESTAB "M" (See IRM 2.3.18) to obtain data for these modules, if desired.
