Chapter 19.40 — PROCEDURES FOR THE PREPARATION OF A MITIGATION MONITORING PROGRAM

A mitigation monitoring program shall be prepared for all mitigated negative declarations prior to project approval and for all EIRs as an appendix or attachment to the final EIR.

19.40.610 - Contents.

A mitigation monitoring program shall specify:

(a)

The party responsible for implementation of each mitigation measure, including costs;

(b)

The governmental agency, department or division responsible for monitoring compliance with the mitigation measure;

(c)

A time frame for compliance with the mitigation measure; and

(d)

Whether a mitigation monitoring report is required to set forth requirements for additional reporting as necessary to ensure compliance with the mitigation monitoring program.

Failure to comply with mitigation measures or monitoring requirements may be grounds for revoking of permits and entitlements for which the environmental document was prepared.
