2.24.010 - Created.

There is created a city planning commission appointed by the city council who shall be known as the "planning commission" composed of five members who reside within the city limits of the city of Woodlake.

2.24.020 - Member restrictions.

A. No member of the planning commission may serve on the city council or serve as the city clerk at the same time.

B. Planning commissioners may hold no other city office or position.

C. All feasible accommodations will be made to ensure that persons with disabilities are not discriminated against or excluded from membership in the planning commission.

2.24.030 - Terms of office.

A. The terms of office of the members of the planning commission shall be four years, except that each planning commissioner shall serve at the pleasure of the city council and may be removed from office by majority vote of the city council at any time.

B. Vacancies other than those created by an expiration of terms of offices shall be filled by majority vote of the city council by appointment for the unexpired term. The term of office of members of planning commission shall commence on March 1st and terminate on the last date of February, four years thereafter.

2.24.040 - Compensation.

No compensation shall be paid to members of the planning commission for services performed as a member. Expenses shall be reimbursed which are incurred, by a commission in the performance of his day which have been previously budgeted and approved by the city council.

2.24.050 - Members to be registered voters.

No person shall be appointed as a planning commissioner who is not a registered voter.

2.24.060 - Meetings.

A. The planning commission shall make such rules as it deems proper for the conduct of its meetings except that any action by the planning commission shall require the affirmative votes of at least three members of the planning commission.

B. Any member of the planning commission who misses three consecutive regular meetings of the planning commission without notice may be removed from his office and the city council of the city shall declare the office vacant and fill the office as provided in this chapter.
