12-7-500 - Price of Recycled Water.

The price for recycled water sold, supplied, distributed or transported to users shall be at a rate or charge equal to seventy-five percent (75%) of the rate or charge which the Town Council may establish from time to time as established by resolution. Such charge or rate shall be based upon relevant factors including the present and projected costs of supplying and delivering recycled water.

12-7-505 - Fees and Charges.

All fees, charges, deposits or penalties provided for in this chapter, including recycled water charges, shall be established by resolution of the Town Council. (Ord No. 2001-150 § 1)

12-7-510 - Billing Frequency and Computation.

The Town shall render bills for water services which shall include a charge for recycled water consumed during the billing period as specified in the bill and any charges unpaid at the time of the bill.

12-7-515 - Payment; Delinquent Notice.

Bills for recycled water service shall be due and payable fifteen (15) days after service at the Town office and if not paid fifteen (15) days thereafter, a notice may be sent to the user setting forth the amount due and the date on which service will be disconnected.

12-7-520 - Combined Billing.

The Town may bill water, sewer, recycled water and other charges on the same billing, together with any other charges for services rendered by the Town. All such charges shall be clearly and separately shown on the bill.

12-7-525 - Disconnection of Service for Nonpayment.

A user's recycled water service may be disconnected for the nonpayment of a bill for water service rendered if the bill is not paid by the fifteenth (15th) day after mailed notice of the amount due as provided in Section 12-7-605.

12-7-530 - Returned Check.

If payment for services rendered by the Town is made by a customer by check, which is later returned by Town's bank for any reason, a check return charge shall be made in accordance with State law. A returned check shall be considered nonpayment of bill, and shall subject the service to disconnection pursuant Section 12-7-600.

12-7-535 - Disputed Bills.

Requests for investigation of disputed bills shall be filed in writing with the Town for consideration by the Town Manager. A disputed account will not be accepted as justification for nonpayment of a bill, and a service will be subject to discontinuance unless payment in full is made pending a settlement of the dispute.

12-7-540 - Estimated Bills.

If a meter fails to register correctly or is obstructed and cannot be read, the bill will be based on an estimate of the amount of recycled water used, based on usage during the prior months. Due consideration will be given in such estimate to the. normal seasonal demand of such service and to any other factors that may assist in arriving at a charge for the recycled water service.

12-7-545 - Multiple Meters.

Separate bills will be rendered for each meter except where the Town has for its own convenience installed two (2) or more meters in place of one (1) meter. Where such installations are made, the meter readings may be combined for billing purposes.
