3.10.010 - Definitions.

The following definitions shall apply to this chapter:

A. "Private event" means any social, athletic, fundraising, or religious event, function or activity not conducted or sponsored by the city.

B. "Public facility" means any building, hall, room, auditorium, park, athletic field, or other area owned by the city.

3.10.020 - User fees authorized.

It shall be the policy of the city to charge and collect reasonable fees for the use of the public facilities for private events. To that end, the city council may by resolution adopt regulations for the charge and collection of reasonable user fees for private events conducted on or in public facilities. Such fees shall not exceed the actual cost of the city of making public facilities available for private events, and may include, but shall not be limited to, the cost to the city of liability, casualty and fire insurance, janitorial service, maintenance, heating, lighting and upkeep pertaining to the public facilities so used.
