17.08.02 - Appendix C. Green building strategies.

The following is a list of strategies that, if employed, would result in a development that may be considered environmentally sensitive:

A.

Site development/redevelopment:

1.

Additional open space preserved (above the minimum required);

2.

Connectivity to community (pedestrian/bicycle);

3.

Brownfield redevelopment;

4.

Access to public transportation;

5.

Low water use irrigation system; and/or

6.

Use of recycled materials.

B.

Buildings:

1.

Optimization of daylight/shade;

2.

Reuse of existing building (walls, floors, roof);

Changing rooms/showers;

4.

Low or no volatile organic compound paints, sealants, adhesives;

5.

Low-emitting flooring systems;

6.

On-site renewable energy (solar, wind, etc.); and/or

7.

Use of composite wood or agrifiber.
