5.56.010 - Permit required.

Any person desiring to operate and maintain a rifle or shooting range within the city shall first apply to the chief of police for a permit setting forth in the application all matters required by the chief of police. If, upon investigation by the chief of police, it appears that a rifle or shooting range could be maintained at a specified location set forth in the application without danger to the public and without creating a nuisance, then the chief of police may issue a permit therefor, upon such terms and conditions as he/she may impose. Before the permit is in effect, the applicant shall pay the regular business license fee as required by Chapter 5.04.
