1.16.010 - Designated.¶
The round metal disc seal having thereon the words and figures "City of Whittier, California, Incorporated, 1898" an imprint of which is shown on Ordinance No. 1288, is adopted as the official seal of the city. The official seal was heretofore adopted by the city council by Ordinance No. 1288 as the official seal of this city.

1.16.020 - Use of the seal.¶
Whenever any document, ordinance, resolution, agreement, order, or paper requires the seal of the city, the seal from which the foregoing impression was made shall be used and attached to the documents by the proper officials of the city. The original and master seal shall be kept in the custody of the city clerk; copies thereof may be made and placed in the custody of the city officials of the city as directed by the city manager. The seal shall only be used by the official having custody thereof or his/her duly authorized deputy.
