3.29.010 Purpose and intent.

The city of Wasco master fee schedule is adopted to establish the fees or costs for all services provided to individuals, groups, or business entities consolidated under one cohesive master fee schedule. The master fee schedule is adopted annually and may be amended by a resolution from time to time, as necessary, by the council. This schedule ensures transparency and consistency in the fees charged. 3.29.020 Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter, the following words, phrases, and terms shall have the meanings set forth as follows:

"City" means the city of Wasco.

"Council" means the city of Wasco city council.

"Fee" means a payment or fixed charge in exchange for services as set forth by the city council.

"Master fee" means a resolution adopted by the city council from time to time that sets fees for services provided by the city. (Ord. 711 §1, 2020).

3.29.030 Procedures for setting and adopting various fees.

In accordance with Government Code Sections 66016 and 66018, a public hearing shall be held prior to the adoption or amendment of the master fee schedule. The council shall receive oral and written presentations concerning fees as defined in the master fee schedule. (Ord. 711 §1, 2020).

3.29.040 Fee revisions and reviews.

Fees included in the master fee schedule may be reviewed and revised from time to time, as necessary. The city’s cost of providing the services shall be computed and reflected in these fees. Revised fees may be adopted by resolution of the council. (Ord. 711 §1, 2020).

3.29.050 Terms of payment.

Fees are due and payable upon presentation unless a fee waiver has been approved. Fees shall become delinquent thirty days after the presentation. A penalty of ten percent shall be imposed on all delinquent fees. Fees that remain unpaid after the delinquent date shall accrue interest at one percent per month.

Nothing contained in this chapter shall limit the right of the city to proceed against any customer or applicant for any delinquencies due under the master fee schedule. The remedies described herein are cumulative and in addition to all other remedies available to city at law or in equity. (Ord. 711 §1, 2020).
