Sec. 4-3.1. - Depository Established.¶

"The depository for the general funds of the City of Villa Park shall be designated by resolution of the City Council."

Sec. 4-3.2. - Officers Placed in Charge of Monies Received.¶

All monies received by the City of Villa Park or any of its officers or employees or agents shall be turned over to the Director of Finance or City Treasurer.

Sec. 4-3.3. - Deposit of Funds.¶

The Director of Finance or City Treasurer shall forthwith upon the receipt of any monies received on behalf of the City deposit all such funds in the general fund of the City as set forth in subsection 2-9.1 unless existing laws require the deposit of these monies in a special fund.

Sec. 4-3.4. - Special Funds.¶

Any funds received by the Director of Finance or the City Treasurer which by operation of law, or direction of the City Council, are required to be deposited in a special fund shall be deposited in said special fund as directed by the City Council.

Sec. 4-3.5. - Weekly Report of Deposits by Other City Officers.¶

Any officer or employee of the City collecting or receiving any money belonging to or for the use of the City shall deposit it immediately in the Treasury in the manner prescribed by resolution for the use and benefit of the funds to which it belongs, and shall report such deposits to and settle with the Director of Finance on each Monday of every week.
