16.230.010 Signs or markings indicating angle parking.

A. The city traffic engineer, with the approval of the city manager, shall determine upon what streets angle parking shall be permitted, and the angle thereof, and shall mark or sign such streets, but such angle parking shall not be indicated upon any federal-aid or state highway within this city unless the department of public works has approved the regulation in writing.

B. Angle parking shall not be indicated or permitted at any place where passing traffic would thereby be caused or required to drive upon the left side of the street. (Code 1971, § 7221)

16.230.020 Permits for loading or unloading at curb.

A. The police department or city traffic engineer is authorized to issue special permits to permit the loading or unloading of merchandise or materials subject to the terms and conditions of such permit. Such permits may be issued either to the owner or lessee of real property or to the owner of the vehicle and shall grant to such person the privilege as therein stated and authorized herein.

B. It shall be unlawful for any permittee or other person to violate any of the special terms or conditions of any such permit.

C. If the permit is in a parking pay station or parking meter zone, the permittee shall pay an amount at least equal to the lost revenue of the parking spaces. (Code 1971, § 7222; Ord. No. 2009-002, § 8, 1-12-09)
