6301 - Applicability.

This Chapter applies to all County Parks within Ventura County (except the Rincon Parkway, except as provided in Section 6309-7(a)), whether controlled exclusively by the County, or concurrently with other governmental entities. Other provisions of the Ventura County Ordinance Code otherwise applicable in County Parks shall not be affected by this Chapter.

6301-1 - Acts prohibited—Penalty.

It is unlawful for any person within any County Park to do any of the acts hereinafter prohibited by this Chapter. Unless otherwise provided in this Chapter, any person who violates any of the provisions of this Chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor or infraction, whichever the case may be, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with Section 13-2 of the Ventura County Ordinance Code.

6301-2 - Federal and state activities.

The provisions of this Chapter shall not be construed to apply to any activities of the Federal Government, the State of California, or any other public agency, or by any person acting under the direction, instruction, or authority of the Federal Government, State of California, or other public entity.
