4330 - Surfboards.¶
No person shall use or possess any surfboard at any beach designated by the County or other controlling public agency as a bathing beach.
4331 - Surfboard, beach, posting.¶
A beach shall be considered a bathing beach when the County or other controlling public agency has posted signs designating it as a bathing beach at each end of the beach and at intervals of not more than 500 feet along the beach. The area in which surfboards are prohibited is the water at which such beaches form the shoreline to 200 yards seaward from the shoreline of such beaches.
4332 - Surfboard defined.¶
For the purpose of this Article, the term "surfboard" includes any board or floating object which may be used to ride ocean waves or swells or otherwise engage in the sport of surfing except any mat or mattress of less than 72" in length which depends wholly upon inflation with air for structural shape or any paddle board or kick board of less than 60" in length intended primarily as a flotation aid for swimmers.
4333 - Bathing beaches.¶
Bathing beaches shall be designated by the County by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
