13.01.010 - Definitions.

A. As used in this chapter, the term "rollerskate" shall include any person propelling himself or herself or being propelled while on rollerskates or a skateboard.

B. As used in this chapter, the term "bicycle" shall include any nonmotorized vehicle that may be propelled or moved upon a roadway. This term shall include scooters and carts.

13.01.020 - Prohibited acts.

No person shall rollerskate or bicycle in or on any of the following county properties:

A. The County Courthouse and County Courthouse Square bounded by Washington, Pine, Oak and Madison Streets, Red Bluff, California.

B. The main branch of the county library located in Red Bluff, California.

13.01.030 - Exceptions.

Bicycles may be permitted to be parked on the county property listed in Section 13.01.020 of this chapter only in designated parking areas.

13.01.040 - Violations and liability.

Any person who violates provisions of this chapter shall be liable for the cost of repair, replacement or other expenses incurred by the county by reason of damage caused by rollerskating or bicycling in or on the county properties listed in Section 13.01.020 of this chapter.

Additionally, violation of any provision of this chapter shall be an infraction for the first offense and a misdemeanor for all subsequent offenses.
