720-010 - COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER—DUTIES¶
The County Health Officer of the County of Sutter, State of California, and any special health officer appointed for any town in said county are hereby authorized and empowered—the County Health Officer in any and all parts of the county and the special health officer in the town for which he is appointed—to remove or cause to be removed any person or persons affected with small-pox, cholera, yellow fever, scarlet fever, or any other contagious or infectious disease to the proper hospital or pest-house provided for such cases; and it is hereby made the duty of the county health officer and the special health officer of the town for which he is appointed to thoroughly fumigate and disinfect or cause to be fumigated and disinfected any house, tenement, or other place from which any person or persons affected with any contagious or infectious disease have been removed.

720-020 - CONFINEMENT IN HOME¶
If, by reason of the location of any house, tenement, or other place in which any case of small-pox, cholera, yellow fever, scarlet fever, or any other contagious or infectious disease exists, or for any other reason, the person affected with such disease is not removed to the proper hospital or pest-house, then it shall be and hereby is made the duty of the health officer or officers in charge of such case to require that the person so affected with such disease shall be kept closely confined in his house, room, or other place of abode for such length of time as may be deemed necessary by the health officers in charge of the case.

720-030 - QUARANTINE¶
It is hereby made the duty of the county health officer and the special health officer in the town for which he is appointed to quarantine any home, tenement or other place wherein any case of small-pox, cholera, yellow fever, scarlet fever, or any other contagious or infectious disease exists, by erecting or causing to be erected in a conspicuous place in front of such house, tenement or other place a yellow flag or other suitable notice of the existence of such disease at such place; and it is hereby made unlawful for any person to remove such flag or other notice or to cause the same to be removed without permission from the health officer, in charge of the case.

720-040 - VIOLATIONS OF QUARANTINE¶
It shall be and is hereby made unlawful for any person or persons except physicians, clergymen, undertakers and those holding written permits from the health officer, to enter or depart from any house, tenement or other placement of abode wherein any case of small-pox, yellow fever, cholera, scarlet fever, or any other contagious or infectious disease exists, during the time such place may be under quarantine.

720-050 - QUARANTINE REMOVAL¶
It is hereby made the duty of the county health officer and the special health officer in the town for which he is appointed, before removing the quarantine from any house, tenement or other place wherein any case of small-pox, cholera, yellow fever, scarlet fever, or any other contagious or infectious disease has existed to thoroughly fumigate, disinfect, or destroy such house, tenement or other place and its contents or cause the same to be done.

720-060 - PENALTY¶
Every person who violates any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before any Court having jurisdiction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County of Sutter for a term not exceeding 150 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
