12.08.010 - Postal Service rules.

All mailboxes shall be placed in accordance with the rules and regulations of the United States Postal Service except as set out in this chapter.

12.08.020 - Right-of-way placement generally.

No mailbox may be placed and maintained within a public right-of-way, after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, with the exception of Postal Service collection and storage boxes.

12.08.030 - Dangerous placement in right-of-way.

No box for the collection or delivery of mail shall be so placed within the public right-of-way as to endanger the life or safety of the traveling public.

12.08.040 - Residential areas with curbs and gutters.

No box for the delivery of mail shall be placed and maintained, after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, within the public right-of-way in any area where curbs, gutters and sidewalks have been constructed abutting residential uses.
