§ 8.94.010. Definitions.

"Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)" or "drone"

means an aircraft operated without the possibility of direct human intervention from within or on the aircraft.

§ 8.94.020. Operation of drones in the Port (PT) Zoning Districts prohibited.

A. The operation of any drone within the Port (PT) Zoning Districts is prohibited. This includes takeoffs/liftoffs/launching, landing, and flying.

B. Exception. The prohibition set out in this section shall not apply to:

  1. Search and rescue operations, fire protection, and law enforcement by any Federal, State, or local public safety agency.

  2. Drones operated by, or with the permission of, the Stockton Port District.
