§ 12.20.010. Adoption.

The master plan of street trees as shown on the map on file with the city engineer and as adopted and approved by Ordinance No. 271 of the city is confirmed as the "master plan of street trees" for the city.

§ 12.20.020. Permit required.

No person, firm or corporation shall plant, remove, replace or cause to be planted, removed or replaced any tree within a dedicated right-of-way without having first obtained a permit in writing from the city engineer to do so.

§ 12.20.030. Types specified.

Trees hereafter planted shall be of the kind specified in the master plan of street trees and all work in planting, removing or replacing a street tree shall be done to the satisfaction of the director of community development.

§ 12.20.040. Approval.

Any person wishing to deviate from the plan shall make a request in writing to the director of community development. Any person aggrieved by the action of the director in granting or denying relief from the plan may file a request for review with the city council.
