§ 11.16.010. Commercial vehicle defined.¶
Except as otherwise defined in this chapter, the term "commercial vehicle" shall have the same meaning as that term is given in the Vehicle Code of California.

§ 11.16.011. Agricultural vehicle defined.¶
As used in this chapter, the term "agricultural vehicle" shall be defined as including the following:
A. Implements of husbandry as defined by the Vehicle Code of California (Section 36000).
B. Truck tractors carrying implements of husbandry.
C. Truck tractors carrying unprocessed agricultural commodities from the point of origin to the point of processing, including the return trip to point of origin.
D. Vehicles which are directly engaging in the support of agriculture including service and delivery vehicles.

§ 11.16.020. Signposting.¶
Appropriate signs shall be erected at the entrance of each portion of a county highway affected by this chapter giving notice of the prohibited use thereof by any commercial vehicle exceeding a gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds.

§ 11.16.030. Highways prohibited—Within residential area.¶
It is unlawful for any commercial vehicle exceeding a gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds to use any portion of a county highway which is located in an unincorporated residential subdivision area of the county (Section 35712, California Vehicle Code).

§ 11.16.040. Alternate routes—Restriction prohibited.¶
The alternate routes designated in Section 11.16.050 shall remain unrestricted by any local regulation as to commercial and agricultural vehicles so long as the restrictions provided in Section 11.16.030 remain in effect.

§ 11.16.050. Alternate routes—Designated.¶
The following described portions of county highways are designated as alternate routes for the use of commercial vehicles prohibited from using the portions of county highways described in Section 11.16.030:

Hatch Road. From Carpenter Road to Mitchell Road, excepting those portions within the city of Ceres;
Industrial Way. From Collins Avenue to Central Avenue;
Latimer Avenue. From Ninth Street to Bystrum Road;
Mitchell Road. From Hatch Road to Yosemite Boulevard, excepting those portions within the city of Modesto and the city of Ceres;
Morgan Road. From Whitmore Avenue to Hatch Road;
Ninth Street. From River Road to Hatch Road;
Oregon Drive. From two hundred sixty-four feet west of Santa Rosa Avenue to Santa Cruz Avenue;
Pecos Avenue. From Seventh Street to Ninth Street;
Richland Avenue. From River Road to Hatch Road;
Santa Cruz Avenue. From Oregon Drive north to the corporate limits of the city of Modesto;
Santa Fe Avenue. From Greenview Drive to Zeering Road;
Santa Rosa Avenue. From Oregon Drive north to the corporate limits of the city of Modesto;
Service Road. From Collins Avenue to Central Avenue;
Seventh Street. From Crows Landing Road to Morgan Road;
Whitmore Avenue. From Carpenter Road to Morgan Road;
Zeering Road. From Santa Fe Avenue to Sperry Road;
Golden State Boulevard. From its intersection with Keyes Road, northerly to its intersection with Nunes Road;
Nunes Road. From its intersection with Seventh Street, easterly to its intersection with Keyes Road;
Seventh Street. From its intersection with Nunes Road, northerly to its intersection with Lizzie Avenue;
Frontage Road. From its intersection with Lizzie Avenue, northerly to its intersection with Faith Home Road;
Lizzie Avenue. From its intersection with Frontage Road, easterly to its intersection with Seventh Street.

§ 11.16.060. Highways prohibited—Within county area.¶
It is unlawful for any commercial and agricultural vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds to use any portion of the following described portions of unimproved county highways, all of which lie in the unincorporated area of the county (Section 35706, California Vehicle Code);
A. Barnhart Road from Crows Landing Road to Bystrum Road;
B. Repealed.

§ 11.16.080. Vehicles exceeding twenty-four thousand pounds—Prohibited where.¶
It is unlawful for any commercial vehicle, excluding those defined in this code as agricultural vehicles, exceeding a maximum gross weight of twenty-four thousand pounds to use any of the following described portions of county highways, all of which lie within the unincorporated area of the county. Vehicles transporting agricultural commodities between the fields and first point of processing shall be exempt from the restriction. The authority for this weight and vehicle type restriction is pursuant to California Vehicle Code Sections 35701 and 21101(c);
Eastin Road (Newman). Eastin Road from its intersection thereof with State Highway 33 south to the Merced County line.

§ 11.16.090. Vehicles exceeding fourteen thousand pounds—Prohibited where.¶
It is unlawful for any commercial vehicle, excluding those defined in this code as agricultural vehicles, exceeding a maximum gross weight of fourteen thousand pounds to use any of the following described portions of county highways, as a through highway, all of which lie within the unincorporated area of the county. The authority for this weight and vehicle type restriction is pursuant to California Vehicle Code Sections 35701 and 21101(c);
A. Ladd Road. From Stoddard Road to McHenry Avenue;
B. Stoddard Road. From S.R. 219 (Kiernan Avenue) to Ladd Road;
C. Dale Road. From S.R. 219 (Kiernan Avenue) to Ladd Road;
D. American Avenue. From S.R. 219 (Kiernan Avenue) to Ladd Road;
E. Carver Road. From S.R. 219 (Kiernan Avenue) to Ladd Road;
F. Tully Road. From S.R. 219 (Kiernan Avenue) to Ladd Road;
G. Boothe Road. From Whitmore Avenue to Hatch Road excepting that portion lying within the corporate limits of the city of Ceres;
H. Foote Road. From Keyes Road to a point five hundred thirty feet south of Jessup Road;
I. Elm Avenue. From its intersection with Carpenter Road to its intersection with Rosemore Avenue;
J. Post Road. On Post Road from its intersection with Knox Road southerly to the corporate limits of the city of Oakdale;
K. Paradise Road. On Paradise Road from its intersection with State Highway 132 (Maze Boulevard) easterly to Carpenter Road;
L. Grimes Avenue. On Grimes Avenue from its intersection with Maze Boulevard (State Route 132) south to its intersection with Paradise Road;
M. Beard Road (Waterford). Beard Road from its intersection thereof with Oakdale Waterford Highway to its intersection with Lone Oak Road;
N. Lone Oak Road (Waterford). Lone Oak Road from its intersection thereof with Beard Road to its intersection with Tim Bell Road;
O. Broadway Avenue. From Finney Road to Salida Boulevard;
P. Finney Road. From Bacon Road to Broadway Avenue;
Q. Covert Road. From Toomes Road to Finney Road;
R. Rodden Road from 28 Mile Road to Orange Blossom Road.
