Sec. 18-2. - Procedure upon approaching stop intersection or through highway.

Every operator of a vehicle approaching any stop intersection or through highway which is signposted with a stop sign shall stop:

(a)

Before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or, if none;

(b)

At a limit line when marked, or, if none;

(c)

Before entering the traveled way of the through highway.
