Sec. 4-12.01. - Purpose.¶
The growing areas in Butte Valley and Tulelake are relatively free from infectious disease, nematodes, noxious weeds and other such pests. The purpose of this chapter is to ensure that these growing areas remain free from such destructive pests and diseases of crops grown in these areas.

Sec. 4-12.02. - Designation of farm equipment and machinery.¶
All farm equipment and machinery, including trucks, which have been used in a field situation outside the Klamath Basin (the sugar beet growing areas in Siskiyou and Modoc Counties, California, and Klamath County, Oregon) which are to be moved onto a field within the growing areas of Butte Valley and Tulelake shall be free from all soil and other debris capable of harboring pests.

Sec. 4-12.03. - Notification of entry of such equipment.¶
All person bringing such designated equipment from outside the Klamath Basin shall notify the Siskiyou County Agricultural Commissioner's Office at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to entering the county.

Sec. 4-12.04. - Inspection.¶
All designated equipment shall be subject to inspection by the Siskiyou County Agricultural Commissioner and shall be free of all soil and debris to the satisfaction of the Commissioner prior to entering the designated growing area.

Sec. 4-12.05. - Violation.¶
Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand and no/100ths ($1,000.00) Dollars or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months.
