Sec. 6-9.0. - Purpose.¶
The purpose of this chapter is:
(a) To provide for the proper, safe, and efficient use of pesticides and for the protection of the public health and safety;
(b) To protect the environment from environmentally harmful pesticides;
(c) To assure agricultural and pest control workers of safe working conditions where pesticides are present;
(d) To permit agricultural pest control under strict control of the Siskiyou County Agricultural Commissioner;
(e) To assure consumers and users that pesticides are properly labeled and are appropriate for the use designated by the label and that dissemination of information on pesticidal uses is consistent with the uses for which the product is registered; and
(f) To facilitate the sale and movement of agricultural products.

Sec. 6-9.1. - Fees.¶
The following fees are established in order to carry out the purposes of this chapter:
| Registration of pest control aircraft pilots | $10.00 |

| Registration of pest control aircraft pilots (previously registered in another county) | $5.00 |
| Registration of licensed pest control advisers | $10.00 |
| Registration of licensed pest control advisers (previously registered in another county) | $5.00 |
| Processing notice of intent to perform work by a pest control business | $10.00 |
| Registration of pest control business operator | $25.00 |
| Registration of licensed farm labor contractor | $25.00 |
| Field inspection for certification of Weed Free Forage or Straw | $50.00 per inspection Plus: $0.50 per acre or part thereof |
| Field Inspection for Export | $50.00 per inspection Plus: $3.50 per acre or part thereof |
| Origin Certificate | $35.00 |
| Phytosanitary Certificate | $35.00 per certificate Plus: $0.15 per carton or container declared for export |
| Issuance of Certified Farmers Market Certificate | $25.00 |
| Issuance of Certified Producers Certificate | $25.00 |
