Sec. 4-3.01. - Permit required to plant garlic.

It shall be unlawful for any person to plant or grow garlic within the County without first applying to the Agricultural Commissioner for a permit to plant such seed or seed stock. The application shall be in writing and shall be in such form and give such details as the Agricultural Commissioner may require.

Sec. 4-3.02. - Inspection of garlic plants.

The Agricultural Commissioner shall, whenever he deems it necessary, cause an inspection to be made of planted garlic or garlic intended for planting. Such inspection shall be made for the purpose of determining the existence of stem and bulb nematode or white rot, or both.

Sec. 4-3.03. - Issuance of permit following inspection.

If the Agricultural Commissioner, after investigation, determines that the garlic is free of stem and bulb nematode or white rot, or both, he shall issue a permit authorizing the applicant to plant said garlic.
