Simi Valley Municipal Code Ch. 4 Bus Transportation System

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to the use of the public transportation buses owned or operated by or on behalf of the City.

The Council may from time to time adopt, by resolution, a schedule of fares for the municipal public bus transportation system.

Passengers shall keep themselves and all packages transported by them to the rear of the driver of the bus while such bus is in motion or transit. Demarcation of the passenger and package area may be indicated by a line on the floor of the bus.

Passengers shall refrain from unnecessary conversation with a bus driver while the bus is in motion or transit.

Passengers shall not play radios, tape recorders, or other mechanical devices on buses except by means, such as earphones, inaudible to other passengers.

The driver of a bus may order a passenger to leave the bus for cause where he is either in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or when he is creating a disturbance to other passengers or the driver which is injurious to the safety of the operation of the bus system. A passenger so ordered by a driver to leave a bus shall leave immediately upon such request.

Passengers shall not smoke, eat, or drink on buses.
