8.04.010 - Public health code adopted.

A. The "Public Health Code of the County of Los Angeles," the same being Ordinance No. 7583, of the county, as amended through and including June 30, 1975, is adopted as the public health code of the city (hereinafter referred to as "health code"). Three copies of the health code are on file in the office of the city clerk.

B. Wherever the health code uses the following words or phrases, they, respectively, mean:

"County" or "county of Los Angeles," the city of Sierra Madre.

"Health officer" or "county health officer," the health officer of the city.

8.04.020 - Violation—Penalty.

Violation of any provision of the health code shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and shall be punishable by a fine of no more than one thousand dollars, or by imprisonment in the city or county jail for not more than six months, or both. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of the health code is committed or permitted, shall be deemed to be a separate offense.
