1.08.010 - Violation deemed misdemeanor—Exception.¶
Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of the ordinances of the city, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, unless the violation is made an infraction by ordinance.

1.08.020 - Misdemeanor—Penalty.¶
Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed by any ordinance of the city, any person convicted of a misdemeanor for violation of an ordinance of the city is punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

1.08.030 - Infraction—Penalty.¶
Any person convicted of an infraction for violation of an ordinance of the city, is punishable by:
A. A fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for a first violation;
B. A fine not exceeding two hundred dollars for a second violation of the same ordinance within one year;
C. A fine not exceeding five hundred dollars for each additional violation of the same ordinance within one year.

1.08.040 - Separate offense.¶
Each person shall be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of the ordinances of the city is committed, continued or permitted by any such person, and he shall be punishable accordingly.

1.08.050 - Violation—License revocation authority.¶
When a person is convicted of a violation of any section of this code, any license previously issued to him by the city may be revoked by the court or by the city council.

1.08.060 - Officer's duties—Liability limitation for failure to perform.¶
No provision of this code designating the duties of any officer or employee shall be so construed as to make such officer or employee liable for any fine or penalty provided for a failure to perform such duty, unless the intention of the governing body to impose such fine or penalty on such officer or employee is specifically and clearly expressed in the section creating the duty.
