Shafter Municipal Code Ch. 15.48 Sign Code

This chapter may be cited as the "Shafter Sign Code."

The Uniform Sign Code, 1997 Edition, with appendices (adopted and copyrighted by the International Conference of Building Officials) as modified in this chapter is adopted by reference into the Shafter Sign Code.

The following provisions of the Uniform Sign Code, 1997 Edition, are not adopted as part of the Shafter Sign Code, and shall not apply thereto:

Section 103.3 Board of Appeals;

Section 103.4 Violations;

Section 304 Fees.

Section 103.3 of the Uniform Sign Code is amended to read as follows:

Section 103.3 Board of Appeals.

In order to provide for reasonable interpretation of the provisions of this Code, there is hereby established a Board of Appeals as provided in the Shafter Code of Building Regulations as established by this Title.

Section 304 of the Uniform Sign Code is amended to read as follows:

Section 304—Fees. Fees shall be adopted and revised as provided in Title 1 of the Shafter Municipal Code.

Wherever there exists a conflict between this code and Chapter 14 of Title 17 of the Shafter Municipal Code, the provisions of Chapter 14 shall prevail.
