4-11-1: ADOPTION OF THE CALIFORNIA PLUMBING CODE:¶
Pursuant to the provisions of section 50022.2 of the Government Code and sections 17922, 17958.5, 17958.7 and/or 18941.5 of the Health And Safety Code of the state of California, the city council of the city of Selma does hereby adopt by specific reference thereto and incorporation herein by said reference, the provisions, rules and regulations specified and set forth in the 2022 Edition of the California plumbing code with appendices, title 24, part 5 of the California code of regulations, copies of which are on file with the community development department, for public record and inspection. These are hereby adopted by said council by reference as the plumbing code of the city of Selma and made a part of this chapter as though set forth in full, subject, however, to the amendments, additions, deletions and fee exceptions as set forth in this chapter. This code shall be designated as title IV, chapter 11, and the plumbing code of the city of Selma. (Ord. 2016-7, 12-5-2016; amd. Ord. 2023-2, 4-17-2023)
4-11-2: AMENDMENTS, ADDITIONS, DELETIONS, AND FEE EXCEPTIONS:¶
(A) Delete: Chapter 1, division II, section 103.4 (Fees).
Add: Permit Fees: The provision for plumbing permit fees and all matters relating to permits shall be as set forth in the latest resolution approved by the city council establishing a schedule of fees and charges.
(B) Add: Violation; Penalty: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure in the city, or cause or permit the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of the California plumbing code. The remedies provided by this chapter are cumulative and in addition to any other remedies available at law or in equity. Violations of any provision of this chapter are subject to administrative, criminal, civil or other penalties and enforcement pursuant to title I, chapter 4 of the city code.
