Selma Municipal Code Ch. 5 Board of Health

Whereas, the City Council of the City of Selma does deem it proper and expedient to have the County Health Officer enforce and observe the State rules, regulations, orders, and statutes relating to public health within the City of Selma.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City of Selma does hereby consent that the County Health Officer shall enforce and observe in the City of Selma, all of the following:

(A) Orders, quarantine regulations, and rules prescribed by the State Department of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California.

(B) Statutes of the State of California, relating to the public health.

Be it further resolved, that the City Clerk shall serve a certified copy of this resolution upon the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Fresno on or before the 1st day of March, 1959.

And be it further resolved, that this resolution shall constitute a notice of termination of the existing agreement between the County of Fresno and the City of Selma, dated, January 16, 1950, wherein the City of Selma contracted with the County Health Department to perform all functions relating to public health within the City of Selma.
