5-11-1: DEFINITION:

The term "self-service laundries" as used in this Chapter shall mean any establishment in which coin-operated facilities are available for washing clothes or for drying clothes, or both, and which is open and available to the general public for use.

5-11-2: LICENSE REQUIRED:

It shall be unlawful for any person to establish or operate a self-service laundry in the City without first having secured a license therefor from the Clerk. Applications for license shall comply with the general provisions relating to applications for licenses found in Chapter 1 of this Title. (1963 Code)

5-11-4: INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT:

Installation of all equipment in the establishment shall be in conformity with the building, plumbing and electrical regulations established by this Code.

5-11-5: ENFORCEMENT:

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police and the Building Inspector to see to the enforcement of this Chapter and to cause such inspection to be made of the premises as may be necessary for that purpose. (1963 Code)
