Seaside Municipal Code Ch. 8.44 Dumping and Filling – Laguna Grande Area

The practice of dumping rubbish, fill, and refuse in or on the water area of Laguna Grande and upon adjacent or contiguous land areas including that area lying between Canyon Del Rey Boulevard and the Monterey city limit line is prohibited, except as provided in SMC § 8.44.020.

In the event of unusual and serious hardship occasioned by the prohibition contained in SMC § 8.44.010 and, further, if a clear demonstration can be made of the fact that the allowance of filling will not be detrimental in any manner, then and in that event specific exceptions to the provisions of SMC § 8.44.010 may be allowed. Such exceptions may be applied for from the city engineer.
