10.60.010 INCREASE OF LOCAL LIMITS.

It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the speed permitted by state law upon the following streets is less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles thereon and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

10.60.020 DECREASE OF LOCAL LIMITS ON NARROW STREETS.

It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the prima facie speed limit of twenty-five miles per hour in a business or residence district or in a public park on any street having a roadway not exceeding twenty-five feet in width, other than a state highway, is more than is reasonable or safe and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof.

10.60.030 REGULATION OF SPEED BY TRAFFIC SIGNALS.

The city traffic engineer is authorized to regulate the timing of traffic signals so as to permit the movement of traffic in an orderly and safe manner at speeds slightly at variance from the speeds otherwise applicable within the district or at intersections, and shall erect appropriate signs giving notice thereof.
