§ 2.06.010. Duties of certain County offices separated.

Except as otherwise expressly provided by this chapter, the duties of any offices previously consolidated have been separated, and the duties of such offices shall be performed by separate persons.

§ 2.06.020. Duties of the County Treasurer and County Tax Collector consolidated.

Under the authority of Government Code Sections 24300 and 24305, the duties of the Offices of County Treasurer and County Tax Collector are hereby consolidated, and the budgets of these offices are also consolidated. The title of the officer performing the duties of the offices hereby consolidated shall be "County Treasurer-Tax Collector."

§ 2.06.025. Duties of the County Assessor and County Recorder consolidated.

Under the authority of Government Code Sections 24300, 24304 and 24305, the duties of the Offices of County Assessor and County Recorder are hereby consolidated, and the budgets of these offices are also consolidated. The title of the officer performing the duties of the offices hereby consolidated shall be "County Assessor-Recorder."

§ 2.06.030. Duties of Sheriff and Coroner consolidated.

Under the authority of Government Code Sections 24300 and 24305, the duties of the Office of County Sheriff and the duties of the Office of County Coroner are consolidated, and the budgets of these offices are also consolidated. The title of the officer performing the duties of the offices hereby consolidated shall be "County Sheriff-Coroner."

Under the authority of Government Code Sections 24300 and 24305, the duties of the Office of District Attorney and the duties of the Office of Public Administrator are consolidated, and the budgets of these offices are also consolidated. The title of the officer performing the duties of the offices hereby consolidated shall be "District Attorney-Public Administrator."

Under the authority of Government Code Sections 24304.2 and 24305, the duties of the Office of County Auditor-Controller and the duties of the Office of County Treasurer-Tax Collector are hereby consolidated, and the budgets of these offices are also consolidated. The title of the officer performing the duties of the offices hereby consolidated shall be the "County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector."

Code reviser's note: Section 4 of Ord. 5166 provides: "This ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day after the date of final passage but shall become operative upon a vacancy in the Office of the Treasurer-Tax-Collector for the County of Santa Cruz but in no circumstances prior to January 1, 2014."
