7.48.010 - Permissible weight of vehicles on county bridges.

No person, firm or corporation shall drive or place or cause to be driven or placed any vehicle or vehicles upon any of the County bridges of the County of San Mateo described in this chapter the gross weight of which is in excess of the maximum permissible weight limits hereinafter specified for each of said County bridges.

7.48.020 - Signs specifying load limit.

The Director of Public Works and Road Commissioner is directed to cause signs indicating the maximum weight so fixed to be erected at a distance of not less than fifty (50) feet or more than five hundred (500) feet from each end of such bridges or approaches thereto specifying the load limit allowed hereunder per vehicle.

7.48.030 - Tunitas Road (County Road No. 42).

The maximum permissible weight limit of vehicles and loads upon the County bridge over Tunitas Creek on TUNITAS ROAD, County Road No. 42, is five (5) tons.

7.48.040 - County Bridge No. 50—Wurr Road Bridge.

The permissible and designated weight limits of vehicles and loads upon County Bridge No. 50, situated on Wurr Road Bridge is:

15 Tons (30,000 lbs.) per vehicle

22 Tons (44,000 lbs.) per semi-trailer combination

24 Tons (48,000 lbs.) per truck and full trailer

7.48.050 - County Bridge No. 20—Lobitos Creek Road No. 43.

The permissible and designated weight limit of vehicles and loads upon County Bridge No. 20, situated on LOBITOS CREEK ROAD, County Road No. 43 and crossing Lobitos Creek is hereby reduced to and specified as 3 Tons (6,000 lbs.).

7.48.060 - Permissible weight of vehicles on unimproved county highways.

No person, firm, or corporation shall drive or place or cause to be driven or placed any vehicle or vehicles upon any of the unimproved County highways of the County of San Mateo described in this chapter, the gross weight of which is in excess of the maximum permissible weight limits hereinafter specified for each of said County highways.

The maximum permissible weight limit of vehicles and loads upon the LOS TRANCOS WOODS ROAD, County Road No. 67, is eight (8) tons.

7.48.090 - Fair Oaks Avenue.

No person, firm or corporation shall drive or place or cause to be driven or placed any commercial vehicle exceeding a gross weight of 5,000 pounds upon FAIR OAKS AVENUE, County Road No. 1416-A, from its intersection with NINTH AVENUE, County Road No. 684-A, easterly to its intersection with MARSH ROAD, County Road No. 31, except as allowed in sections 35712 and 35714 of the Vehicle Code. An alternative route for local access is FIFTH AVENUE, County Road No. 23.
