3.19.010 - Fee imposed.

There is imposed upon every city, special district, school district, community college district, college, or university, a criminal justice administrative fee. The amount of said fee shall be eighty-seven dollars and forty-seven cents and may from time to time be revised by ordinance of the board of supervisors, and shall be based upon a cost report prepared in accordance with Government Code Section 29550 reflecting the county's costs with respect to the booking or other processing of each person arrested by an employee of that city, special district, school district, community college district, college, or university, where the person arrested is brought to any facility operated by the county as a jail or detention facility for booking or detention.

3.19.020 - Payable.

Such fees shall be payable on account of every booking or processing of a person at a jail or detention facility of the county under the control of the sheriff-coroner on or after July 1, 1990.

3.19.030 - Employee.

An "employee" shall include any person making an arrest on behalf of an entity upon which the fee provided by this chapter is imposed.
