§ 2-1.201. Authority.¶
The provisions of this article are enacted pursuant to the provisions of Section 36516 of the Government Code of the State (Chapter 100 of Statutes of 1984), authorizing the Council to provide by ordinance the compensation and annual increases for City Councilmen.

§ 2-1.202. Date of former adjustment.¶
The operative date of the last adjustment in the salary of the City Councilmen was May, 1984.

§ 2-1.203. Amount.¶
Each member of the Council shall receive as salary the sum of Two Hundred Sixty-Eight and no/100ths ($268.00) Dollars per month, such amount having been determined and implemented pursuant to the provisions of Section 36516 of the Government Code of the State.

§ 2-1.204. Effective date of 1986 increase.¶
Pursuant to subsection (1) of subsection (a) of Section 36516 of the Government Code of the State, the basic compensation of City Councilmen shall be changed according to the salary schedule of said Section 36516 to Three Hundred and no/100ths ($300.00) Dollars per month. Said salary change to Three Hundred and no/100ths ($300.00) Dollars per month shall be effective May 1, 1986.
