2.04.3000 - Establishment.¶
The information technology department is hereby established.

2.04.3010 - Department head.¶
The chief information officer shall be the head of the information technology department.

2.04.3020 - Functions, powers and duties.¶
In addition to those general functions, powers and duties given to the department head by this chapter and other provisions of this Code, the chief information officer shall:
A.
Administer the city's central computer systems and functions.
B.
Manage the city's communication services.
C.
Provide advice and recommendation regarding current and proposed computer system maintenance and planning.
D.
Assist in creation of computer system master plans, policies for the use of computer systems, documentation requirements and resource acquisition.
E.
Perform such other programs or functions related to computer systems that the city council or the city manager may, from time to time, authorize or request.
