18.08.010 - General plan required.¶
A.
The city council, by resolution, shall adopt a comprehensive long-term general plan for the physical development of the city and any land outside its boundaries which, in its judgment, bears relation to its planning.
B.
The general plan shall conform to any state law governing the adoption and content of general plans which is found applicable to charter cities by judicial decision or opinion of the city attorney. Such applicable state law is hereby incorporated by reference.
C.
Nothing herein shall preclude the city council from including any other subject or subjects in the general plan which, in the council's judgment, relate to the physical development of the city.
