SECTION 202 – GENERAL DEFINITIONS New Ordinance Notice

Publisher's Note: This section has been AMENDED by new legislation (Ord. 174-25 , approved 9/9/2025, effective 10/10/2025). The text of the amendment will be incorporated when the amending legislation is operative. Revise this definition as follows: SUBSTANTIAL STRUCTURAL ALTERATION. An alteration in which the gravity load-carrying structural elements altered [ ← ] since the original construction support more than 30 percent of the total floor and roof area of the building or structure. The areas to be counted toward the 30 percent shall include mezzanines, penthouses, and in-filled courts and shafts tributary to the altered structural elements.
