§ 53.1201 Purpose.¶
The purpose of this Chapter is to enhance public safety and improve the quality of life in San Bernardino County by regulating the long-term parking of recreational vehicles, trailers, large vehicles, and commercial vehicles on public streets within the Spring Valley Lake community, in order to reduce traffic hazards, improve visibility, protect pedestrians, and maintain community standards.

§ 53.1202 Definitions.¶
When used in this Chapter, the words and phrases contained in this Section shall, for the purposes of this Chapter, have the following meanings:
CHAPTER. A chapter of this Division, unless the chapter of some other Division or law is indicated.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES. Any vehicle having a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 10,000 pounds, length exceeding 22 feet, commercial license plates, commercial advertising signage or wraps, or DOT markings.
LARGE VEHICLES. Any recreational vehicle (RV), motorhome, trailer (including boat, landscape, utility, or storage trailers), oversized equipment, or other wheeled conveyance that, because of its size, weight, or use, is not customarily operated as a standard passenger vehicle and that may interfere with normal sightlines, traffic flow, or on-street maneuvering when parked on a public street.
PERSON. Includes a natural person, firm, co-partnership, association, or corporation.
SPRING VALLEY LAKE. The unincorporated community in San Bernardino County commonly known as “Spring Valley Lake,” located in the Victor Valley region. For purposes of this Chapter, the area is generally bounded by Ridgecrest Road on the west, Yates Road on the north, the Mojave River and River Walk on the east, and the residential areas north of Victor Valley College and Spring Valley Lake Parkway on the south, including the homes north of Huerta Street and extending from Pahute Avenue south to Ridgecrest Road.

§ 53.1203 Long-Term Parking of Large Vehicles and Commercial Vehicles.¶
(a) No person shall park, or permit to be parked, any Large Vehicle on a public street or alley in Spring Valley Lake for more than 72 consecutive hours.
(b) After being parked for 72 consecutive hours in any one location, the Large Vehicle must be moved a minimum of 500 feet from its prior location.
(c) No person shall park, or permit to be parked, any Commercial Vehicle on a public street in Spring Valley Lake, except:
While actively engaged in loading, unloading, or providing services at adjacent property;
While being used in connection with construction, landscaping, or other authorized work at adjacent property; or
As otherwise authorized by any provision of the County Code.
(d) Any large vehicle or commercial vehicle parked in violation of this Chapter may be cited and/or towed by the Sheriff, California Highway Patrol, or other lawfully authorized enforcement officer, in accordance with state law.
(e) The County Road Commissioner is authorized to post, place, and install appropriate signage to provide public notice of the prohibitions and enforcement authority in this Chapter.
