§ 21.01.045 ESTABLISHED; PURPOSE; COMPOSITION.

In order to determine the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction and installations and to provide for reasonable interpretation of the provisions of this chapter, there is established an appeals board, consisting of five members. The Building Official shall be an ex officio member and shall act as Secretary of the Appeals Board.

§ 21.01.046 APPOINTMENT AND TERM OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS.

The Appeals Board shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors and shall hold office at its pleasure.

§ 21.01.047 POWERS AND DUTIES.

The Appeals Board shall adopt reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its investigations and shall render all decisions and findings in writing to the Building Official, with the duplicate to the appellant, and may recommend to the Board of Supervisors such amendments or new legislation as is consistent therewith.
