3.140.080 Definitions-Generally.¶
The definitions contained in this article govern the construction of this chapter unless the context otherwise requires. The definition of a word or phrase applies to any variants thereof. (Prior code § 86.02.100)
3.140.090 Franklin Villa assessment district.¶
"Franklin Villa assessment district" or "district" means an assessment district formed in the area herein described as the Franklin Villa Estates subdivision pursuant to this chapter. (Prior code § 86.02.110)
3.140.100 Clerk.¶
"Clerk" means city clerk of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 86.02.120)
3.140.110 City manager.¶
"City manager" means the city manager of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 86.02.130)
3.140.120 Finance director.¶
"Finance director" means the finance director of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 86.02.140)
3.140.130 Fiscal year.¶
"Fiscal year" means a twelve (12) month period commencing on July 1st and ending on the following June 30th. (Prior code § 86.02.150)
3.140.140 Residential unit.¶
"Residential unit" means any single family residential unit within any parcel, halfplex or condominium. (Prior code § 86.02.160)
3.140.150 Property owner.¶
"Property owner" or "owner" means any person shown as the owner of the residential unit on the last equalized county assessment roll; when such person is no longer the owner, then any person entitled to be shown as owner on the next county assessment roll, if such person is known to the city; where the residential unit is subject to a recorded written agreement of sale, any person shown therein as purchaser. 3.140.160 Services.¶
"Services" includes but is not limited to special neighborhood police officer services, private security services which do not replace the duties normally carried out by the police department, and related activities and services which relate to real property and/or equipment, or the maintenance thereof, which provide direct and special benefit to the district in the form of increased neighborhood health, safety, welfare, protection, security, and/or ownership preservation. 3.140.170 Resolution.¶
"Resolution" includes an ordinance. (Prior code § 86.02.190)
3.140.180 Notice.¶
"Notice" means any resolution, order, notice, or other instrument authorized or required by this chapter to be published or mailed. (Prior code § 86.02.200)
3.140.190 Improvement or public improvement.¶
"Improvement" or "public improvement" means any public improvement of a local nature, including without limitation any improvement described in the Improvement Act of 1911 or the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 of the state of California. (Prior code § 86.02.210)
3.140.200 Maintenance.¶
"Maintenance" means the maintenance, servicing, repair, replacement and operation of an improvement, including without limitation the furnishing of power, water, heat and other utilities as may be required. (Prior code § 86.02.220)
3.140.210 Public works director.¶
"Public works director" means the director of the city of Sacramento department of public works, or designee. (Prior code § 86.02.230)
