3.132.090 Definitions-Generally.

The definitions contained in this article govern the construction of this chapter unless the context otherwise requires. The definition of a word or phrase applies to any variants thereof. (Prior code § 83.02.100)

3.132.100 Assessment district.

"Assessment district" means an assessment district formed pursuant to this chapter. (Prior code § 83.02.110)

"Clerk" means city clerk of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 83.02.120)

3.132.120 City manager.

"City manager" means the city manager of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 83.02.130)

3.132.130 Finance director.

"Finance director" means the finance director of the city of Sacramento. (Prior code § 83.02.140)

3.132.140 Fiscal year.

"Fiscal year" means a twelve (12) month period commencing on July 1st and ending on the following June 30th. (Prior code § 83.02.150)

3.132.150 Property owner.

"Property owner" means any person shown as the owner of the land on the last equalized county assessment roll; when such person is no longer the owner, then any person entitled to be shown as owner on the next county assessment roll, if such person is known to the city; where land is subject to a recorded written agreement of sale, any person shown therein as purchaser. 3.132.160 Additional police services.

"Additional police services" includes but is not limited to specialized law enforcement activities and services related to real property and/or equipment, or the maintenance thereof, which provide direct and special benefit to the district in the form of increased neighborhood health, safety, welfare, protection, security, ownership, preservation, and/or aesthetics. "Specialized law enforcement activities" may include any of the following, or any police service related directly thereto:

Crime prevention; rehabilitation of juvenile offenders; saturation patrol, task force deployment and other tactical operations aimed at the suppression of narcotics and gang activities, where such services are over and above those patrol and investigative functions routinely performed by regular units, bureaus and sections of the police department and may include stakeouts, intelligence gathering, and interagency coordination between the Sacramento police department and other municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies when such activities are carried out in conjunction with the enforcement activities described in this section. Additional police services shall include the costs of all salaries and benefits and all equipment, operating overhead, materials, vehicles, support staff, and other costs directly related to the overall work of providing the services. 3.132.170 Resolution.

"Resolution" includes an ordinance. (Prior code § 83.02.180)

3.132.180 Notice.

"Notice" means any resolution, order, notice, or other instrument authorized or required by this chapter to be published, posted, or mailed. (Prior code § 83.02.190)

3.132.190 Improvement or public improvement.

"Improvement" or "public improvement" means any public improvement of a local nature, including without limitation any improvement described in the Improvement Act of 1911 or the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 of the state of California. (Prior code § 83.02.200)

3.132.200 Maintenance.

"Maintenance" means the maintenance, servicing, repair, replacement and operation of an improvement, including without limitation the furnishing of power, water, heat and other utilities as may be required. (Prior code § 83.02.210)
