Chapter 2 — Zoning Districts

2.8. MIXED-USE ZONING DISTRICTS

Sacramento County Zoning Code · 2026-06 edition · updated 2026-07-25 · Sacramento County

2.8.1. General Purpose

The mixed-use zoning districts are intended to provide for and allow a mixture of residential and nonresidential uses on one or more parcels as an integrated development. Mixed use development patterns allow people to drive less if they choose and make it easier for people to walk, bike and use transit to reach destinations. Mixed use development also adds to the creation of vibrant places. In addition to the general purpose for mixed use zoning districts, the specific purpose of each mixeduse zoning district is established in Section 2.8.2.
