5.56.010 - Permit—Required.

No person shall use or maintain any searchlights on commercially zoned property unless a permit is obtained from the city council.

5.56.020 - Permit—Application.

An application for a permit described in Section 5.56.010 shall be in writing and shall specify the following:

A. Nature and description of the appliance;

B. Purpose for which it shall be used;

C. Location where it will be maintained;

D. Time during which it will be maintained or used stating the days and hours.

5.56.030 - Fees.

A fee, as set by council resolution, shall be payable upon issuance of a permit.

5.56.040 - Insurance.

Before any permit is issued, the applicant shall file with the city and thereafter shall keep in full force and effect a policy of insurance in such form as the city manager may deem proper, showing the city as an additional insured, insuring the public against injury, damage or loss which may result to any person or property from the use, maintenance or operation of the appliance for which the permit is granted, in the amount of not less than fifty thousand dollars for injury to one or more persons in any one accident and five thousand dollars for injury to or destruction of property in any one accident.

5.56.050 - Prohibitions.

No person shall use or maintain searchlights for commercial purposes on any property within the city not zoned for commercial uses.
