12.04.010 - Adopted.¶
A. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain highway permit ordinance known and designated as the highway permit ordinance of the county of Los Angeles, Division 1 of Title 16 of the Los Angeles County Code as amended through Ordinance 88-0056, shall be and become the highway permit ordinance of the city prescribing certain regulations as to the use of county highways.
B. A copy of the ordinance as amended is to be kept on file in the office of the city clerk.

12.04.020 - Definitions.¶
Wherever the following names or terms are used in the highway permit ordinance of the county of Los Angeles or in this chapter, each such name or term shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this section as follows:
"Commissioner" means the road commissioner of the county of Los Angeles or his duly authorized representative acting as the road commissioner of the city of Rolling Hills Estates.
"County" or "county of Los Angeles" means the city of Rolling Hills Estates.

12.04.030 - HPO Section 16.06.055—Added permit revocation—Highway restoration.¶
Section 16.06.055 is added to the highway permit ordinance to read as follows:
Section 16.06.055. Whenever a permittee fails to comply with the conditions established for the exercise of a privilege granted under a permit, the Commissioner may revoke the privilege. Upon such revocation, the permittee shall immediately restore the highway to the Commissioner's satisfaction. If the permittee fails to do so, the Commissioner may restore the highway at the expense of the permittee and/or charge the permittee a fee of two hundred fifty dollars per day for each day of failure to restore the highway.
