16.04.020 - Definitions. ¶
Whenever any of the following terms are used in the county subdivision code, the same will be construed to have the meaning set forth in this section.
"Board of supervisors" means the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills Estates.
"County engineer" means the City Engineer of the City of Rolling Hills Estates.
"County health officer" means the City Health Officer of the City of Rolling Hills Estates.
"County of Los Angeles" means the City of Rolling Hills Estates.
"Regional planning commission" means the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills Estates.
"Road commissioner" means the City Engineer of the City of Rolling Hills Estates.

16.04.030 - County subdivision code section 21.12.010 amended—Planning commission.
Section 21.12.010 of the county subdivision code is amended to read as follows:
Section 21.12.010. PLANNING COMMISSION. The planning commission of the city will perform all functions relating to subdivision maps, as is required of the Subdivision Committee and Regional Planning
Commission of the County of Los Angeles pursuant to Title 21. The planning commission's actions will be as an advisory agency only, as provided in the Subdivision Map Act. All actions of the planning commission with reference to subdivision maps will be reported to the city council, which body will finally approve, conditionally approve, or disapprove the proposed subdivision map.

16.04.060 - County subdivision code section 21.40.180 amended—Duration of approval—Tentative map.
Section 21.40.180 of the county subdivision code is amended to read as follows:
Section 21.40.180. DURATION OF APPROVAL. The approval of a tentative map will be effective for a period of twenty-four months. The city council may grant one or more extensions to the term of approval of a tentative map, the sum of which may not exceed an additional twelve months. The subdivider must file a written request to the city council for any extension prior to the expiration of the initial term or previously granted map extension.

16.04.070 - County subdivision ordinance section 21.48.180 repealed—Lease projects—Duration of approval.
Section 21.48.120 of the county subdivision code is repealed.

16.04.080 - County subdivision code section 21.62.010 amended—Fees.
Section 21.62.010 of the county subdivision code is amended to read as follows:
Section 21.62.010. FEES. At the time of filing of an application under this title, the applicant will pay the applicable fee established by city council resolution.

Chapter 16.06 - URBAN LOT SPLITS
16.06.010 - Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to implement Government Code section 66411.7, which requires a city to ministerially approve an application for an urban lot split located within a single- family residential zone if it
meets certain state and municipal requirements. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of this chapter and Government Code section 66411.7, as amended, Government Code section 66411.7 will govern.
