9.58.010 - City council findings—Deemed nuisance when.¶
A. The city council finds and determines that the distribution of unsolicited printed matter upon private property can be a nuisance and that the continued distribution of such unsolicited printed matter after a request by a property owner or occupant constitutes an annoyance and an invasion of privacy.
B. The city council further finds and determines that printed matter that is indiscriminately distributed upon private property when it is not requested by the owner, after notice to the distributor to cease and desist such distribution, can be a source of litter and debris in the community.
C. The city council further finds and deter-mines that the continued distribution of printed matter upon private property after notice from the owner or occupant of the private property constitutes a public nuisance.
D. In order to control the unsolicited distribution of printed matter upon private property after notice from the owner or occupant, the Rohnert Park city council does ordain the provisions set forth in this chapter.

9.58.020 - Unsolicited littering prohibited.¶
No person shall throw, distribute, deposit, place or attach or in any other way leave any handbill, circular, newspaper, paper, booklet, poster or any other printed matter on private property after notice from the owner or occupant of the private property to cease and desist from such activity.

9.58.030 - Notice by owner or occupant defined.¶
In the event the lawful owner or occupant of the private property upon which the printed matter has been deposited does not desire further deposits of the material, the owner or occupant shall give written notice to the distributor of the printed matter. The term distributor means the person or entity who causes and for whose benefit the distribution is made.
